Covid.

The first team match at Southend has been postponed due to concerns over covid and the risk of at least 16 players mixing in the same room and travelling in shared cars. The match has been rescheduled for Friday 1st April.
Club nights will continue for a small number of members, but we are now recommending that people wear masks, at least while they are at the board or close to other people.


North Circular league.

There has been a meeting to look at getting this league restarted. If it restarts, we will enter a team in a lower division, as a means of giving games to our mid/lower-graded players. We would be very happy to hear from anyone who would like to be a captain. It would be good for the club to have a new person involved in a modest amount of running something.

Re-Opening night.

The club reopened its doors on Wednesday 21st July. We had nine players appearing, with a number more intending to come in future weeks, but just unable to make it this first week. We all had a few light casual games, although some of our regular members felt a bit rusty. New players of any level will be very welcome. We have a spacious and well-ventilated venue.
The club will be open on Wednesdays 7.30pm as normal.

The Essex league 2019-20 season has been abandoned with the current leaders of each division declared champions. A new 2021-22 season is being planned.
